  • 2011-present: Wellness Weavers health promotion pilot project: volunteers helping with community gardens and improving at-risk historic buildings receive safe, drug and alcohol-free places to stay, and assistance with links to weave support network & access to wholistic health promotion.
  • 2012: Children's Disaster Services Wildfire Recovery Center in Wilford, Oklahoma
  • 2007: United Methodist Earthquake Recovery Team to Chincha, Pera  
  • 2005-6:  Team leader for three United Methodist Katrina Disaster Response Teams to Bay St. Louis, MS
  • 2001-5:  Coordinated wholistic health into the United Methodists' East Annual Conferences at Baker University, Baldwin City, KS  
  • 1995 Volunteered at Gesunheit Institute for a weekend
  • 1996 Delivered supplies to Patch Adams as the Tooth Fairy to take to Russia
  • 1980's care and feeding of volunteer firefighters trying to put out on the Blue Rapids City Square.  
  • 1978 VIM trip to Albuquerque, NM to work on an innercity school and visit a Native American Reservation
  • 1976 Deliver clothes to Red Bird Mission, in Kentucky during travels to check out Frontier Nursing Service

  • May 29, 2015 "Does Humor Work 4 You?" a report of a year long Level 2 Humor Academy research project at the Annual Conference of the Association of Applied and Therapeutic Humor in Philadelphia, PA
  • February -March 2013 Community Health ministry joint venture with the Siempre Salud diabetes project in Chincha, Peru
  • March- April 2012 "Chronic Conditions Self-Management Classes", the Stanford University 6-wk series held at the Kansas Street Settlement House in Waterville, KS
  • Fall 2010  "Chronic Conditions Self-Management Classes", the Stanford University 6-wk series held at Presbyterian Church in Marysville, Kansas
  • 2010 Produced and debuted at the Waterville Opera House a stage-production of "AE" (Amelia Earhart), originally created as a radio production by Dr. Rix Shanline, Manhattan, KS
  • 2009  The Role of Faith Communities in Emergency Preparedness and Response for KDHE Statewide meeting in Topeka, KS  
  • 2009  Planned, coordinated and provided healthy meal & snacks for an interagency event involving representation from City Council, KSU, KSU-Riley County Extension Agent, UMC Disaster Response, the Jersualem Road Parish Healthy Congregations in Action, local school systems and co-facilitated with a trained Kansas Leadership Center facilitator in Leonardville, Kansas as my capstone project for completion of the Kansas Core Public Health Program: The role of Churches in Disaster Preparedness & Response 
  • 2006 Demonstration of the Coordinated School Health USD#397 website and orientation to the interagency Health Skills Fair for the USD #397 Blue Valley School District 
  • 1995 Traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia and presented a breakout session on "Humor to Facilitate Communication", provided a Tooth Fairy presentation to 5th graders on oral health, and provided interactive mime clowning as "Astra" during the 50th Anniversary celebration of the end of World War II

  • 2009 Certified Child Care Health Consultant; capstone project included placing website resource links for parents and childcare providers on the Childcare Center's website.

  • 2010 Coordinated the statewide Kansas Interactive Distance Learning event, "Feeding Relationships: An Introduction into the Possibilities" for the Kansas Parents as Teachers Association.

  • January 2011: Attended the Brian Tracy Business Mastery Seminar, San Diego, CA and also participated in the Homeless Point in Time Count in San Diego
  • March 2011: Made a contract with the first person to test the Wellness Weavers Health and Wellness Cooperative system and that person was off public assistance and employed and buying his own home by September 2012.

  • December 2013 Exploratory study of the Incas in the Sacred Valley of Peru and visit to introduce a Certified Diabetes Educator to the Peruvian-American Medical Society in Chincha, Peru

  • Obtain over 30 hours of continuing education workshops every one to two years with an emphasis on any aspect of wholistic health

  • Current memberships include: the Preventative Cardiovascular Nurses Association, the Association of Applied and Therapeutic Humor, The Ninety-nines, Women in Aviation International, EAA, and AOPA  to build her knowledge base and allows networking to learn from the best mentors
